Gerard Thomas Curd, age 56, died Sunday, September 5, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Rockville Centre, New York a son of the late Ralph B. Curd and Virginia Fletcher Curd. Mr. Curd was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church. He was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion in Johnson City. He is survived by his wife, Maria A. DeAngelis Curd; two daughters, Mary Curd and Victoria Curd of the home; two sisters, Virginia Tierney of Guilford, CT, and Patricia Laskowski of Shelton, CT; four brothers, Ralph Curd of Brazil, John Curd of Woodbridge, CT, Brian Curd of Westown, NY, and Bart Curd of Ketchum, ID; and one aunt, Mary Benedict of East Dslip, NYThe family will receive friends Tuesday evening, September 7, 2010, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Morris Baker Funeral Home. A funeral mass for Mr. Gerard Thomas Curd will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 12:00 pm in the St. Marys Catholic Church with Father Joseph officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain Home National Cemetery with military honors being rendered by the Boone Dam VFW Post #4933 and the Tennessee Army National Guard. Pallbearers will be Brian Curd, John Curd, Bart Curd, Ralph Curd, Robert Laskowski, Terry Brandon, Dr. Louis Modica, and Robert Riskin.
