Glenn David Allison

Glenn 'Blue'? Allison, age 64, of Piney Flats, passed away on May 6, 2010 at his residence. He was a native of Hildebran, NC but had lived in Piney Flats for over 35 years. He was the son of the late Charles Allison and Dorothy Allison Sain. He was also preceded by a brother, Rodney Allison, Sr. He graduated from Hildebran High School, and attended Milligan College and graduated from Appalachian State University.Mr. Allison was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served with the Military Police in Panama. Mr. Allison was employed as an Ironworker Foreman with Powell Construction Company for 38 years. Survivors include; his wife of 35 years, Sheila Beard Allison, three devoted children, two daughters, Brandy P. Allen and her husband John of Johnson City and Staci C. Wilson and her husband Jason of Piney Flats; one son, Wes Allison of Charlotte, NC ; two adored Grandchildren, Aedan and Adeline Wilson; one brother, Wayne Allison and his wife, Margaret of Granite Falls, NC; four sisters, Phyllis Edwards of Granite Falls, Rose Allison of Granite Falls, Sue Foster and husband, John of Charlotte, NC and Ann Sain of Lakewood, NJ; several nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be conducted in the Morris-Baker South Chapel on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 8:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00 pm on Monday.
