Gloria Jean Vance Cloyd, 62, of Jonesborough, passed away at her home on Thursday, March 19, 2020, in the care of her family.
She was a daughter of the late Dewey Dale Vance and Mary Ann Holder Vance.
Gloria loved to serve the veterans, taking extra care with them in her time as a chef at the Quillen VA Medical Center. She also loved to be in the kitchen at home, always baking something. Her skill for cake baking and decorating brought her to lead decorator’s classes at Michael’s when she had the time.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Randy Dale Vance.
Those left to cherish her memory include: her husband of 42 years, Wayne Cloyd; children, April Kim Vance, Robert Wayne Cloyd, and stepson Al Wayne Cloyd; siblings, Gary Lee Vance, Lisa Kay Moore, and Penny Denise Edwards; nieces and nephews, Cacilia Day, Logun Glover, and Todd Edwards; Brother-in-Law, Phillip Cloyd; and her beloved furbabies.
Graveside service to be conducted at a later date. Arrangements are incomplete at this time.
