Goldia Holloway Gregg

Goldia Holloway Gregg, 94, Gray, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at her residence. Mrs. Gregg was a native of Butler who had lived most of her life in Washington County. She was the daughter of the late Alvin Holloway and Crettie Whaley Holloway. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, James G. Gregg in 1991, three sisters and four brothers. Mrs. Gregg was a homemaker. She was a member of the Boones Creek Christian Church. Survivors include: one daughter, Nancy Gregg Wantland and her husband Robert, of Georgia; one son, James A. Gregg, of Grayson, Georgia; two grandchildren, Leslie Wantland, of Georgia and Erik Wantland and his wife Missy, of Georgia; one great granddaughter, Madeline Sue Wantland, of Georgia; two sisters-in-laws, Helen Widener and Charlotte Gregg, of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Goldia Holloway Gregg will be conducted at 1 PM Saturday, March 24, 2007 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Charles Reese will officiate. The graveside service will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Friday March 23, 2007. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to: American Heart Association, 208 Sunset Drive, suite 521, Johnson City, Tn. 37601.
