Grace Daland Kneaskern

September 3, 1939 — March 15, 2021

On March 15, 2021, Grace Daland Kneaskern of Gray, TN, passed away surrounded by her family and went home to be forever with her Lord and Savior.

Born on September 03,1939 in Ashaway, RI to Stuart and Ruth Daland, she spent her life selflessly serving and persistently praying for others. With a giant smile that was her trademark, she brought love and encouragement to countless individuals. She was a beloved member of Boone Trail Baptist Church and never missed an opportunity to share her love for Jesus with anyone she met. Among the things of this world, her love of coffee and ice cream was only surpassed by her love of friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren, who were the highlights of her days.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Pauline Tillinghast of North Stonington CT and her grandson Tyler Kneaskern of Elizabeth City, NC. Survivors include her husband, Richard Kneaskern; her brother, George Daland of Warwick, RI; her sister, Thelma Payne of Westerly, RI; her son, Daniel; her daughter, Gloria Wells (Lee), of Gray, TN; her daughter, Sandra Kneaskern (Bruce) of Elizabeth City, NC; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Grace’s family will receive friends on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Boones Trail Baptist Church (1985 Carroll Creek Rd, Johnson City, TN) from 1:00-2:00 pm. The funeral will be recorded and uploaded to the Morris-Baker website, under Grace’s obituary page, by 6:00 pm on Saturday. There will be a committal service at Mountain Home National Cemetery in the Annex at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 29, 2021.
