Grace Frederick Tiffin

December 18, 1914 — July 31, 2012

Mrs. Grace Frederick Tiffin, age 97, passed away, July 31, 2012, in the NHC Healthcare Center. Mrs. Tiffin was a native of Hackleburg, Alabama and had lived many years in North Alabama before moving to Johnson City, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late, Robert Levi Frederick and Sarah Estelle Smith Frederick. In addition to her parents her husband Edward Tiffin; two brothers, Ralph Frederick and Ernest Frederick; one sister, Gladys Caddell also preceded her in death. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and very active in the United Methodist Women of North Alabama. She found a special home in Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church were she became a member. Survivors include her nieces, Dr. Margaret Farmer and her husband Craig, Beulah Tiffin Tooley and Nancy Griffin; nephews, Wally Helms, David Tiffin, Bob Tiffin and Hoyt Griffin; great nephews, Adam Farmer and his wife Rachel and Peter Farmer; great niece, Claire Jing Lin Farmer. The family expresses gratitude to the staff of Pine Oaks Assisted Living, NHC Health Care, and Caris Hospice. The funeral service for Mrs. Grace Frederick Tiffin will be conducted at 7 PM Thursday, August 2, 2012 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Rev. Dr. James Bennington will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 1 PM Sunday, August 5, 2012 in the Colbert Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia, Alabama. Family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 PM Sunday.
