Gregory Allen Williams

Gregory Allen 'Greg'? Williams, 50, of Jonesborough, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at his residence. He was a native of Johnson City, son of David Jerry Williams and Ruby Cofer Williams. Greg was an electrician for both residential and commercial. He was a graduate of Davy Crockett High School, where he ran track, cross country, was a member of the 5 minute mile club and was in ROTC. Greg was one to be counted on by family and friends for many things, yard work, help on their homes or when car trouble arose. He always had a smile for those he loved and for his dogs. He was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Williams, a sister, Pamela Kim Williams and a half brother, Timmy Williams. He is survived by a son, Alex A. Williams of the home; a daughter, Whitney S. Williams of Church Hill; his former partner of 26 years, Angie Williams of Johnson City; three brothers, Joe Williams of Limestone, Steve Williams of Jonesborough and Larry Williams of Kingsport; two sisters, Susie Williams-Ali of Johnson City and Debbie K. Williams of Jonesborough; a half brother, Chris Williams of Johnson City; two half sisters, Jerri Williams Garretson of Hampton, VA and Jennie Williams Silvers of Telford; a special friend Brigitte Jones of Jonesborough; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, October 8, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Morris '? Baker Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until time to leave in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Larry, Steve and Joe Williams, Jeff Williams, Jared Williams, Dennis Cox, Jim Schweitzer and Terry Whetsell. Honorary pallbearer: Dale Ball. In lieu of flowers send donations to: P. O. Box 1342, Churchill, TN 37642.
