Gregory 'Greg' Allen Cullop, 42, of 3105 Rocky Top Road, Johnson City, died Tuesday at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City, son of the late Frank 'Jerry' S. Cullop and Mrs. Hazel Sheets Cullop. He was a machine operator for Douglas Dynamics and an assistant Scout Master and Committee Member of the Boy Scouts Troop #237. He was also a member of the University Parkway Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Cullop. Survivors include his wife, Pamela Kerr Cullop, a son, Stacy Allen Cullop, a daughter, Amber Brooks Cullop, and his mother, Hazel Cullop, all of Johnson City; two brothers, Dean Cullop, Johnson City, Dickie Cullop, Elizabethton; a half brother, David Sheets, Virginia; and three sisters, Peggy Bennett, Jonesborough, Brenda Scott, Johnson City, and Linda Byrd, Johnson City; and a grand child, Kelsey Leanne Cullop, of the home; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, March 12, 2005, in the South Chapel of the Morris-Baker Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. under the direction of Rev. Scott Thompson and Rev. David Dugger. Special music will be provided by the Duggers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday, March 11, 2005. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the Boy Scout Troop #237, c/o of Boy Scout Service Center, 129 Boone Ridge Road, Johnson City, TN 37615. Active pallbearers: Andy Bennett, Chris Bennett, Jason Byrd, Bryan Byrd, Chris Kerr, Randy Street, Jay Walker and Aaron Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be: Guy Calloway, the Boy Scout Troop #237, Dr. Robert Allen and Tommy Bishop.
