Gregory Ford Peterson

Gregory Ford Peterson,40, of Fort Myers,Florida died unexpected Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in Florida. He was a native of Rock Island, Illinois. Gregory and family moved to Johnson City where he first attended school. His high school years were in Florida where the family relocated following the death of his mother. He is the son of Ford H. Peterson of Jonesborough and the late Ina Jean Smith Peterson. Gregory was loved by many and will be missed by all. Survivors other then his father include: a daughter, Elsa Peterson of Fort Myers, FL; two sons, John E. Peterson and Isaac W. Peterson, both of Fort Myers; four sisters, Crystal Newton of Fort Myers, Judee Silver of LaJolla, CA, Janie Jarvis of Kingsport and Alice Peterson of Altos, CA; a very Special Mom, Barbara Hughes of Jonesborough; several aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Gregory Ford Peterson will be conducted at 2:30 PM Sunday, November 1, 2009 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Bill Burrows will officiate. Interment will follow in the McCarty Cemetery in Jonesborough. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker from 1:30 to 2:30 PM Sunday prior to the service. Active pallbearers will be selected.
