It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our sweet momma, Gretchen Sommerfeld Pavlik. She was a devoted Catholic who maintained a strong relationship with our loving God and went to be with Him on October 5, 2024. She was born on February 28, 1938, in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Gretchen, alongside her husband of an incredible 61 years, Anthony Pavlik, celebrated life together. Their journey landed them in Johnson City, TN in the 1970's when they started a printing business. She was a dedicated mother of four and always put her family first. The memories of childhood her children share is unprecedented and will never be forgotten. She had a deep passion for tennis and golf, and dedicated many hours to coaching aspiring tennis players
Throughout her life, Gretchen found joy in nurturing her family, leaving a legacy of love and happiness that will be forever cherished by her surviving relatives. She is survived by her son, Tony Pavlik, and three daughters, Maryann and Eddie Williams, Terrybeth Kolarick, and Catherine and Robert Heath, as well as 13 adoring grandchildren who meant the world to her.
Gretchen was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Pavlik and her parents, Hans Sommerfeld, and Annabelle Sommerfeld.
