Gudrun Carder, 76, of Johnson City, died Thursday, December 24, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of Hannover, Germany, daughter of the late Paul Wilhelm and Anna Helena Dordje Markish. Gudrun was a protestant and a homemaker. Survivors include: her husband Jack H. Carder of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas H. and Mindy Carder of Johnson City; three daughters and a son-in-law, Maryanna Y. Cook, Mabeline R. Carder and Rosemarie G. and Jeffery Hartley all of Johnson City; a brother, Bernard Markish of Germany; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The Carder family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Dogwood Chapel under the direction of Rev. Chris Carder. A committal service will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 83105.
