Gurney Leroy Morgan

Gurney Leroy 'Roy' Morgan, 71, of 1403 Orleans St., Johnson City died Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Life Care of Gray. He was a native and lifelong Johnson City resident. Mr. Morgan was a son of the late Gurney L. Morgan, Sr. and Lurlie Elizabeth Campbell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Floyd Morgan in 2000. Mr. Morgan owned and operated Roy?s Electric Motors for over 20 years. Survivors include; two daughters, Sandra Herrera and her husband, Genaro and Sharon Morgan all of Jonesborough; five Grandchildren, Lisa Toth of Johnson City, Roberto Herrara, Ricardo Herrara, Sara Herrara and Sean Morgan; two Great Grandchildren Megan and Sarah Toth; three sisters and four Brothers. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday from the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Mr. Allen Payne will officiate. Burial will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
