Gwen Story

Gwen Simpson Story, of Johnson City, died at her residence 27 October, 2015. She was a native of Washington County, Tennessee. Gwen was a former employee of Texas Instruments and Siemens where she was an instructor and quality control technician. Mrs. Story was noted for her visitation with the elderly in her community and in nursing homes. She is survived by her husband of thirty-nine years, Blaine Richard Story; her mother, Lorraine Simpson; a sister, Christy Simpson both of Johnson City; one aunt, Jean Brickey of Kingsport; special friends, Myrtle Greene and Betty Davenport of Jonesborough. There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at Washington County Memory Gardens, section D of the Garden of Faith on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Roy Brickey officiating. The family prefers contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Road, Ste. 102, Johnson City, TN 37601.
