Mr. Harmon J. Gouge, 71, 134 Harrell Road, Johnson City, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Gouge was a native of Elizabethton who had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was the son of the late James Dana Harmon Gouge and Pauline Cates Gouge. Mr. Gouge was a Supervisor for Nuclear Fuel Services in Erwin for forty-two years. He was a member of Hopwood Christian Church and sang in the Mens Choir. Survivors include: his wife of forty-four years, Linda Wilson Gouge of the home; brother-in-law, Joe M. Wilson and wife Pam, sister-in-law, Mary Markland, sister-in-law, Judy Fields and husband Jimmy, niece Joan Stoneman and husband Eddie, nephew, Scott Fields, niece, Sarah Mabe and husband Bucky, nephew, Zachery Wilson and wife Rebecca and nephew Luke Wilson, great niece, Cassie and husband Darren Neeley, great nephews, Cory Fields, Cooper and Bennett Mabe and several cousins. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made in memory of Mr. Gouge to Hopwood Christian Church, P.O. Box 149, Milligan College, Tn. 37682 or the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Road Suite 102, Johnson City, Tn. 37601. A memorial service for Mr. Harmon J. Gouge will be conducted at 7 PM Monday, January 24, 2011 in the Hopwood Christian Church. Dr. Timothy Ross will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Monday at the church prior to the service. An entombment service will be conducted at 10 AM Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park Mausoleum chapel. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 9:50 AM Tuesday.
