Harry Edwin Floyd, 84, of Piney Flats, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012 at the NHC Healthcare Center in Johnson City.He was a native and lifelong Piney Flats resident and a son of the late Henry and Laura Blevins Floyd. Mr. Floyd retired from NARC with 33 years of service and was a retired farmer. Mr. Floyd had served his country in the U. S. Army-Aircorp and later in the U. S. Air Force. He was a member and a deacon of Piney Flats Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors of Mr. Floyd include; his wife of 65 years, Juanita June Paris Floyd; one son, Steven E. Floyd of Piney Flats; two Grandchildren, Kimberly of Piney Flats and Kevin of Key West, Fla.; four Great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from the U. S. National Cemetery at Mt. Home. Graveside Military Honors will be observed. A procession will leave the funeral home for the cemetery at 1:30 pm on Tuesday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
