Mr. Harry F. 'Muggy'? Parker, age 77, of Johnson City passed away November 9, 2012, at his home from complications of Alzheimers. Harry was born in Johnson City to the late Jessie and Dollie Parker and was a member of University Parkway Baptist Church . He had served in the Navy Reserve, was a self-employed paint contractor and retired from the Johnson City Fire Department after 30 years of service. Harry attended the Johnson City School System, Boones Creek High School and attended St. Andrews High School in Sewanee, Tennessee where he excelled in football and wrestling. He loved all sports, was a golden glove boxer and loved gardening. In addition to his parents Harry was preceded in death by 5 brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Carole Burchfield Parker; two sons, Harry Parker, Jr. and his wife Janet of Havana, Fl and Carroll 'Tuffy'? Parker of Johnson City; one daughter, Robin and her husband Tim of Johnson City; grandsons, Jamey Rudolph, Jason Humphrey and his wife Sarah, Adam Parker and Conner Parker; granddaughter, Jadee Gillette; great grandsons, James Brady, Mason Hurt, Elijah and Derrion Humphrey; great granddaughters Blakley White and Jayla Brady; four sisters and one brother. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice and to the private duty nurse, RN Linda Ervin for their love and wonderful care during Harrys illness and also to their special friend Debrah Hensley who was always there to offer care and comfort during Harrys illness. The graveside service for Mr. Harry F. 'Muggy'? Parker will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday, November 11, 2012, in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. Scott Thompson will officiate. The Johnson City Fire Department Honor Guard will serve has pallbearers. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 PM Sunday. The family will receive friends at the residence. In lieu of flowers the family requests that those who desire may make donations to the University Parkway Baptist Church Youth Group in care of Rev.
