Hazel Mae Virginia Baker Wilson

February 26, 1923 — May 6, 2015

Mrs. Hazel Wilson, 92, of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015, in the Christian Care Center of Johnson City. Mrs. Wilson was a native of Washington County. She was a daughter of the late Samuel and Eva Carter Baker. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband, Bill H. Wilson; two daughters, Carol Wilson and Sue Widener; great granddaughter, Heather Holland; five brothers, Johnny Baker, Cecil Baker, Freddie Baker, Sammy Baker, and Paul Baker; and one sister, Edna Nave. Survivors include: two sons, Ernest Wilson and his wife Jodi, and Doug Wilson and his wife Judy; one daughter, Melinda Jennings; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; four sisters, Edith Bowman, Mary Ann Street, Jean Bennett, and Naomi Freeman; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Mrs. Hazel Wilson will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Saturday, May 9, 2015, in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm Saturday with Rev. Kevin Laws, Rev. Roger Laws and Rev. Allen Laws officiating. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday, May 10, 2015, in Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Ministers, family, and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 PM Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery.
