Hazel Marie Wilson

Hazel Marie Wilson, 86, Unicoi, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 31, 2016, after a lengthy illness in Long Term Care Unit in Erwin, TN. Hazel was a Unicoi county native, and daughter of the late Charles and Frankie Barnett Wallace. Hazel was a member of First Baptist Church in Erwin. In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by: her husband, Paul Wilson in 2001, and a brother, Douglas Wallace. Survivors include: one son, Greg and his wife Debbie, of Unicoi; one daughter, Debbie Harrison and her husband David, of Unicoi; one grandson, Robert and his wife Amy, of Unicoi; one great grandson Caleb, of Unicoi; two sisters, Jean Thompson, of Erwin and Sue Finley, of Greeneville, SC; and several nieces and nephews. Hazel will be remembered as a wonderful friend and loving mother and grandmother. The family would like to thank the staff at Long Term Care Unit in Erwin. The family of Hazel Wilson will hold a graveside service at 2:00 PM Monday, April 4, 2016 at Swingle Cemetery in Unicoi, with Rev. Benny Littlejohn officiating.
