Hazel Modena Hudson

Hazel ?Mawie' M. Hudson, 93, Piney Flats, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018, at her residence. Hazel was born in Piney Flats to the late Arthur and Lydia Malone. Hazel was a homemaker and founding member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Piney Flats. In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by: her husband of over 50 years, R.B. Hudson; three siblings, Irene Hamilton, Willie B. Johnson and Ivan Malone; and one special niece, Trula Warren. Survivors include: one daughter, Kathy Cross; three grandchildren, Nicole Fandel and her husband Tim, Tyler Cross and his wife Shelly and Jordan Cross and his wife Mara; four great grandchildren, Bryson Fandel, Isabelle Fandel, Everett Fandel and Lilliana Haze Cross; several nieces and nephews; one godson, Josh King; and special friends, Patty Spurgeon, Jill Fandl, Jennifer Burchett, Peg Kuhbander and Phyllis King. The family of Hazel Hudson will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Morris-Baker. A committal service will be held at St. Paul United Methodist Church at 2:30 PM. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:20 PM. Pallbearers include: Tim Fandel, Tyler Cross, Jordan Cross, Josh King, Bill Burchett and Bryson Fandel. The family will have a celebration of life service at the church following the committal service.
