Helen Elizabeth Lineberger Ledford, age 91, of Melbourne, Florida, and formerly, Johnson City, Tennessee, died Friday, October 25, 2019 at Consulate Health Care in Melbourne.
Helen was born March 19, 1928 in Dallas, North Carolina to John S. Lineberger and Cora E. Gilmore Lineberger.
Helen was an avid genealogist, crocheter, golfer, and bingo player. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by: her husband of 65 years, Calvin W. Ledford Sr.; sons, Calvin W. Ledford Jr. and John Michael Ledford; sisters, Sarah Jane Dutton, Martha Ann Wilson, and Mary Ellen Jenkins; and a brother, John Morris Lineberger.
She is survived by: her son William G. Treadway; grandchildren, Calvin W. Ledford III, Kristen Ledford, Kimberly Ledford, Stacy Ledford, Tamera Treadway, Tyler Treadway, and Taylor Treadway; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Helen’s family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m. A committal service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Please meet at the cemetery by 10:50 a.m.
