Helen Josephine Howell

Helen Headrick Howell, 86, 216 Highland Avenue, died Thursday, December 22, 2005. Mrs. Howell, a Johnson City native, was the daughter of the late John and Perry Venable Headrick. She attended the First Church of God and had retired from Johnson City Medical Center after thirty years of service. Helen loved her family, her friends, and her church. She especially loved the holidays and family gatherings. All who knew her will miss her smile and enthusiasm for life. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Howell was also preceded in death by her husband, John Howell in 1992. Her daughter, Ella Burchfield, a sister, Grace Morrell, and her best friend, Sugar. Survivors include her son, Kenneth Howell and his wife Margie; three grandchildren, Eric Burchfield and his wife Linda, Marcie Howell, and Mistie Howell; two great-grandchildren, Roderick Bowman and Colt Burchfield all of Gray; a sister Ann Campbell, Johnson City; and nieces and nephews, Lee Campbell, Danny Ray Morrell, Geraldine Sherfey, Peggie Taylor, A.J. Street, and Marion Howell.
