Helen Sue Taylor Motychak, 65, of 389 Okolona Road, Johnson City, died peacefully after a prolonged illness Friday, July 7, 2006 at the Northside Hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Carter County, daughter of the late Ralph and Hassie Johnson Taylor. Helen was a retired Biology teacher who had taught for 35 years in Carter County and was known to her many students as 'Miss Moty'. She was a member of the Oak Grove Christian Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death be her former husband Howard Motychak and a brother Jack Taylor. Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Eugene and wife Kim Pierson-Motychak of Twin Falls, Idaho; a brother, Bill Taylor of Texas; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, July 10, 2006 at11:00 a.m. at the Roselawn Memorial Park under the direction of Dr. Robert C. Shannon. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 9, 2006 at the Morris - Baker Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Active pallbearers will be: Jeff Motychak, William Jack, Kevin Buckles and David Townsend.
