Helen T. Johnson

Helen T. Johnson, 89, of Jonesborough passed away Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born the daughter of the late Julian and Ada Ward Turbyfill. She was born April 26, 1924 at Elk Park, North Carolina. She was a homemaker and member of the Midway Baptist Church. She is survived by: two sons; Donnie 'Doc'? Ray (Pamela) Johnson of Jonesborough, TN. and Walter (Pam) Hayes of AL., daughter; Sally (Tulio) Morales of Jonesborough, TN., eight grandchildren; Glinny Cuaves, Ada Pippins, Raphel Asenjo, Brian Marshall, Ian Johnson, Melissa Little, Rebekah Procter and Johnathan Russell, twenty great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren,three brothers; Rhonda 'Bud' Turbyfill, Ray Turbyfill and Johnny Turbyfill; two sisters; Jean Ward and Wilma Ellis and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Helen is preceded in death by: husband; Lemuel Johnson, daughter; Madeline Russell Overbay and three sisters; Audrey Hamilton, Wanda Phillips and Hilma Tappen. The family of Helen Johnson will 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday January 27, 2014 at the Morris Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 8:00pm. Pastor William Taylor of the Midway Baptist Church will officiate. Family and Friends will gather at the Morris Baker by 9:30am Tuesday January 28, 2014 to drive in procession to the Roselawn Memory Gardens in Johnson City, TN. for a graveside committal service beginning at 10:00am.
