Helen Holder Williams, 91, 260 Main Street Village Drive, Jonesborough, formerly of Faith Circle, Johnson City, passed over to her heavenly place on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. Mrs. Williams was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a daughter of the late Steve and Sarah Estep Holder. She was a supporter and charter member of the Southside Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by: her husband of sixty-five years, David J. Williams; a grandson, David Scott Williams; nine siblings; her close niece, Louise Kelly Morrell; her close niece ,Mabel Spain Peterson; and a close nephew, Richard Kelly. Survivors include: three children, David Jerry Williams of Mountain City, Carroll Williams of Johnson City, and Carolyn Williams of Jonesborough ; 'MawMaw'? as she was affectionately called by her fourteen surviving grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren; as well as her 'Special Friends'?, Pauline Hopson, Ruth Campbell, Ruby Crigger, Idalee Kelly, Cappitola Prater all were very dear to her heart; a surviving cousin, Ann Hardin Shipley of Port Charlotte, FL.; and a sister-in-law, Verlie Dockery Williams were always in her thoughts. A graveside funeral service for Helen Holder Williams will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday, September 5, 2007 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. Lenny Smith and Rev. John Perkins will officiate. Active pallbearers will be her beloved grandsons. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Wednesday prior to the service. The procession will then go to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials gifts be sent to the Southside Baptist Church, 1928 Wheeler Street, Johnson City, TN 37604
