Helen Young Kuhnle

Helen Owen Young Kuhnle, age 86, of 3207 Bristol Highway, Johnson City, died Tuesday, October 18, 2005, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was a Cheatham County, Tennessee, native and had lived most of her life in Johnson City and Hillsboro Beach, Florida. Mrs. Kuhnle was a daughter of the late William Clarence and Hilda Slayden Owen. She was a member of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church and attended Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Mrs. Kuhnle was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her four children, B.G. Young Jr., in May 1961; her second husband, George Edward Kuhnle, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, in May 1993; a step-son, Thomas George Kuhnle, in 1990; and a brother, William Clarence Owen. She is survived by children, Nettie Jane Young Langhans, Franklin, Tennessee, Betty Gayle Young Laughlin, Washington, D.C., B.G. 'Chip' Young III and William O. Young, both of Johnson City; a step-son, Kim Taylor Kuhnle, and a step-daughter, Judith Louise Kuhnle, both of Chagrin Falls, Ohio; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. A private interment service for the family will be conducted in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. Jack Haga will officiate. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association, 61 Broadway, NY, NY 10006.
