Henry L. Sievers

Mr. Henry L. Sievers, age 80, of Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at the Center On Aging and Health, Erwin. Mr. Sievers was a native of Floral Park, New York. He was the son of the late Rudolph George Sievers and Elsie M. Walters Sievers. In addition to his parents his wife, Maureen Sievers; one brother, Richard Sievers also preceded him in death. Mr. Sievers was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a Butcher for Amalgamated Meat Cutters Union. Survivors include four daughters, Ann Sievers Coffey and her husband Robert, Kathleen Sievers Tucker and her husband Michael Mokwa, Louise Sievers Andrieszyn and her husband Jerry and Maureen Sievers Downey and her husband John; five grandchildren, Jennifer Peoples, Christie Ann Stark, John C. Downey, Bryce Tucker and Claire Tucker; one great grandchild, Eric Peoples. The graveside service for Mr. Henry L. Sievers will be conducted at 2:30 PM Monday, April 1, 2013, in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pastor Lon Tobin will officiate. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The Boone Dam Post # 4933 and the Tennessee National Guard will accord military honors. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:45 PM Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
