Herbert Thomas Briscoe, Jr.

H. Tommy Briscoe, Jr (Age 84) of Johnson City, TN formerly of Newnan, GA passed away on April 26, 2018. He was born on September 15, 1933 in Atlanta, GA. He was a native of Atlanta, attending Brown High School, Georgia State University, and John Marshall Law School. He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert Thomas Briscoe, Sr, Adeline Brewster Briscoe and his sister, Patricia Briscoe Lamb. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Phyllis Dilworth Briscoe; daughter Joy and husband Corky Clifton; son David and wife Valentina Briscoe; and three grandchildren Zachary, Meredith and Olivia Clifton. He was a member of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church in Johnson City, TN. Tom worked for Colonial Stores/Big Star for 36 years in several locations. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. A celebration of life and resurrection will be held at Newnan First United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 5th at 11:00 am with Rev. Gary Parrish officiating.
