Howard Lefevers, 81, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Johnson City Medical Center. Howard was born in Knox County, KY to the late Arthur and Eula Lefevers. Howard has lived in Johnson City since 1963. He was a graduate of Bell County High School in Pineville, KY and graduated from Steed College with a bachelor?s degree. He was a member of the Tennessee National Guard and Army Reserve, having served in the US Army for 20 years. Howard retired after 38 years in retail. In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by one brother, Franklin Lefevers. Survivors include: his wife, Pat Lefevers; two children, Joy Thompson and Stacey Lefevers and his wife Melissa; three grandchildren, Justin Sutherland, Kaitlyn Lefevers and Dawson Lefevers; four siblings, Ray Lefevers, Irene Richmond, Jerry Lefevers and Art Lefevers, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington County/Johnson City Animal Shelter, 3411 N. Roan St., Johnson City, TN 37601. Private services will be held at a later date.
