I David Vinson Hayes

David Vinson Hayes, I, 903 Lower Higgins Creek Road, Erwin, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 at his residence. He was a native of Greenup County, Kentucky, son of the late John and Molly LeMaster Hayes. David was a retired employee of the N and N Ball and Roller Company. He was a member of the Lower Higgins Creek Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Hayes; a grandson, Austin Hayes; two brothers, Wayne and Bill Hayes; a sister, Virginia Hayes; a special mother-in-law, Virgie Hilliard. Survivors include: eight children; special daughter and special son in law, Brenda and Rick Cooper of Erwin, Vinson Hayes and his wife Hilda of Flagpond , Cara Percell and her fiancé Jeff Bilicek of Erwin, Patty Lewis and her husband Don, Erwin, Donna Britt and her husband, Keith, Erwin, Tonda Hayes of Iraq, John Hayes and his wife Amy, Johnson City, Randy Hayes and his wife, Randy Hayes and his wife Nona of Spokane Washington ; twenty Grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, ; a sister-in-law, Donna Utt of Mansfield, Ohio. A memorial service is scheduled for 5:00pm Wwednesday at Lower Higgins Creek Church of God, under the direction of Rev. Winfird Shelton. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Brenda Cooper, at anytime.
