Ida Hodge Goodman Ward, 87, of Johnson City passed away at her home Saturday January 11, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Vady Hodge Hazelwood and Esaw Hazelwood. She was born May 5, 1926 in Butler, Tennessee. Ida is survived by: three sons, Richard (Ruth) Goodman, Ronnie (Joyce) Goodman and Charles Goodman all of Johnson City, Tennessee; three daughters, Linda (Bob) Oliver of Jonesborough, Martha Ferrell of Mountain City and Brenda (Larry) Barry of Mountain City; special friend Bulis Adamson; seventeen grandchildren; twenty six great grand children and a very special 'Thank You'? for granddaughters Shannon Letterman and Kelly Kelly..you are angels from God for taking special care of granny in her last few days. She is preceded in death by: husband, Quillen Ward; two sons J.C. and Billy Earl; brother, Earl Cardwell and childrens father, Hardin C. Goodman. Ida was an employee of the V.A. Center and the mall in Johnson City for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Y Free Will Baptist Church and was a loving momma, grandmother and great granny granny. The family of Ida Hodge Goodman Ward will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the Morris Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 7:00pm in the North Chapel.
