Ina 'Gladys'? Jones, 98, of Johnson City passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at her residence. She was a daughter of the late, Dave W. and Ida Morton Campbell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Jones in 1984 also by six sisters and three brothers. She was a native of Carter County but had lived most of her life in Johnson City. Mrs. Jones was a housewife and was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church where she had been a teacher or the assistant teacher of the ladies class #2 for 24 years. She currently attended Rich Acres Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include, three daughters; Wilma Hawkins and her husband Lynn ofJohnson City, Lois Sneed of Jonesborough and Patsy Hampton and her husband Lynn of Telford; two sisters, Bessie Hemphill and Thelma Sneyd both of Johnson City; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Dorothy Warren. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Thursday, November 29, 2012 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff will officiate. Burial services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family members will serve as pallbearers. A procession will leave the funeral home for the cemetery at 9:45 am Friday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Thursday.
