Ina M. Whetsell

Ina M. Whetsell, 75, 118 Mayberry Road, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Whetsell was a lifelong resident of Washington County. She was a daughter of the late Parrott and Hattie Willins Hawkins. Mrs. Whetsell was a member of the True Gospel Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Elmer Whetsell; three sons, Bill Whetsell and his wife, Marla, Telford, Gary Whetsell and his wife, Kathy Susan, Limestone and Ronnie Whetsell, Jonesborough; one daughter, Brenda Casey and her husband, Steve, Jonesborough; three sisters, Oralee Arnold, IL, Lois Williams, Johnson City and Helen Franklin, Elizabethton; three brothers, Lynn Hawkins, Jim Hawkins and Randy Hawkins all of Johnson City; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. Whetsell will be conducted at 8 PM Friday May 12 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Reverend Charlie Bennett and Reverend Wayne Absher will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 AM and travel in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home and at other times at the residence. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Johnson City Medical Center Hospice, 1807 W. Market Street, Johnson City, TN 37604.
