Inez H. Seay, 55, of 2814 Plymouth Road, Apartment 13, Johnson City died Monday, June 23, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Seay was a native of Johnson City, had lived in Greeneville, TN from 1982 to 2000 and returned to Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late Gene and Maedell Bradley Tipton. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Tipton. Mrs. Seay was a registered nurse and had worked at Johnson City Medical Center, Tocoma Hospital and Laughlin Memorial Hospital in Greeneville. She was a member of the Day of Deliverance Church. Survivors include: one daughter, Christa and her husband Chris McAmis of Johnson City; one son, John Cretsinger, Jr. of Westminster, Maryland; two sisters, Phyllis and her husband Mark Lindsey of Johnson City and Linda and her husband Richard Mathes, also of Johnson City; one sister-in-law, Judy Tipton of Johnson City; three grandchildren, Christopher Brooks, Elisabeth McAmis and J.D. McAmis, all of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside funeral service for Inez H. Seay will be conducted at 2 PM Wednesday, June 25, 2008 in the Fairview Cemetery in Jonesborough. Rev. Dewey Ward and Rev. Terry Phillips will officiate. Active pallbearers will be selected. An honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Kevin Sweet. The family will receive friends at Morris-Baker from 12:30 to 1:30 PM on Wednesday. The procession will then leave for the cemetery.
