Mr. Ira 'Dude'? Dugger, 76, Jonesborough, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Dugger was a lifelong resident of Washington County. He was the son of the late Ira Dugger, Sr. and Josie Miller Dugger. In addition to his parents one brother, Commie Dugger also preceded him in death. Mr. Dugger was the owner and operator of Quad City Fencing for twenty years. He was of the Baptist faith and had served in the U. S. Army. Survivors include: his wife of 39 years, Brenda Hinkle Dugger of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Tammy Miller of Jonesborough, Chris and Hope Dugger of Johnson City; a sister, Helen Christian of Jonesborough; a brother, Lawrence Ronnie Dugger and his wife Irene of Johnson City; two grandsons, Anthony Miller and Ben Hobbs, both of Jonesborough, and his dog Skeeter. The funeral service for Mr. Ira 'Dude'? Dugger will be conducted at 8 PM Saturday, December 11, 2010 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Tommy Clark and Mr. Terry McClain will officiate. Mr. John Markland will provide special music. The graveside committal service will be conducted on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at the Cherry Grove Cemetery, Jonesborough. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Ministers, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:30 PM to go in procession. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday prior to the service.
