Isabelle Virginia Evans

Mrs. Isabelle Virginia Evans 83, of Jonesborough, TN, passed away Wednesday December 30, 2015 at Brookhaven Nursing Home located in Kingsport, TN. Early in her life Isabelle moved to Chicago, IL where she lived and worked as a secretary in the insurance business for 20 year until she moved back home to Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late William Harvey Bales and Hazel Kelley Bales of Johnson City, TN. After moving back to Tennessee, Isabelle spent her past time with her beloved husband and numerous dogs. She also devoted her time with her sisters and their ?girls' outings to Gatlinburg and Cherokee, NC. Isabelle was a member of the St. John?s Episcopal Church located in Johnson City, TN. In addition to her parents, three sisters, Ann Autry, Glenda Slage and Judy Garland, and one brother Charles R. ?Dicky' Bales preceded Isabelle in death. Survivors include two brothers, Tommy Bales of Orlando, FL and William ?Bill' Bales of Johnson City and eleven nephews and three nieces. The family of Mrs. Isabelle V. Evans will receive friends from 12 to 2 PM Tuesday January 5, 2016, in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 2:30PM Tuesday in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Pastor Lon Tobin will officiate.
