J Raymond Bouch

July 23, 1938 — August 13, 2023

J. Raymond “Ray” Bouch passed away on Sunday, August 13 as result of complications from a fall suffered in June 2023.

Ray was a native of Johnstown, PA and moved to TN in the mid-1980s. He and his wife, Kath, have lived on Boone Lake and have been very active in the boating community for many decades. He also was an avid hunter and fly fisherman who spent many peaceful and enjoyable hours in trout streams passing his love of fly fishing on to his kids and grandkids and also fishing in Erie, PA and in the Florida Keys.

Ray and his wife Kath went on amazing adventures together spending the winter months in Florida living aboard their boat that took them all across Florida and the Bahamas, making the most of every day together.

He was truly a beloved man who was adored by his wife and family and will be forever missed.

Ray is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathleen Bouch; son, Douglas (Jennifer) Bouch, and his daughter, Dawn Bouch; and grandchildren, Daniel (Lauren) Bouch and Sarah (Dillon) Shipley. He was also the very proud great grandpa of Darcy, Cordelia, Lorelai, and Case as well as his many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 17 at Morris Baker Funeral Home in Johnson City with memorial service starting at 8:00 PM.
