Mr. Jackie Busler, 67 of 1410 St. Louis Street, Johnson City passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Busler was the former manager of Jackies Texaco and Wrecker Service on Unaka Avenue in Johnson City for 11 years and Jackies Texaco and Wrecker Service at South Roan for 18 years. Mr. Busler was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. He was the son of the late Jake and Ella Mae Calahan Busler. In addition to his parents one brother, Odell Busler and two sisters, Eula Kate Langston and Martha Sue Busler, also preceded him in death. Survivors include: his wife of 46 years, Martha Tipton Busler, of the home; one brother, Paul Busler and his wife, Nancy of Johnson City; five sisters, Geraldine Elrod of Johnson City, Billy Jean Goines and her husband Lester of Huntsville, Alabama, Pauline Clark of Lusby, Maryland, Wanda Flyn and her husband Tom of Gray and Sandy Jones and her husband Paul of Johnson City; Several nieces and nephews. A special little friend, Shaggy the Dog. A special thanks to Tammy the home nurse and Buddy Cretsinger for helping around the house. The funeral service for Mr. Busler will be conducted at 3 PM Wednesday July 29, 2009 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Claude Babb will officiate. The committal service will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Donnie Johnson, Walter Whaley, Aaron Hawkins, Buddy Cretsinger, Terry Busler and George Copas. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday in the funeral chapel.
