Jackie Jack Shepherd

Jackie Shepherd, age 79, Johnson City, passed away on April 7, 2019.
He was a native of Johnson City and son of the late Nelson Shepherd and Ruth Dykes. He was a member of Common Ground Church in Bristol, Tenn.
Jack graduated from Jonesborough High School in 1957. He would marry Patsy Fagan in 1958 and the two celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Christmas Eve 2018.
Jack was a veteran who retired from Eastman Chemical Company in 1996. He enjoyed sports and loved the Atlanta Braves and the University of Tennessee.
He was a kind-hearted and loving man. He always had a quick smile, an infectious laugh, and a helping hand. Jack had a special place in his heart for his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was a great man who will be sorely missed.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 60 years Patsy Shepherd; his brother John Shepherd; a special brother-in-law Chip Fagan; his sons: Timothy Shepherd and daughter-in-law Angie; Jeff Shepherd and daughter-in-law Kathy; grandson Nick Shepherd and wife Cindy; grandson Adam Shepherd and wife Amy; granddaughter Heather Cressell and husband Brandon; step-grandaughter Trina Howington and husband Arthur; great-granddaughters Zoey Waites, Emmy Shepherd, Lexi Cressell, Brooke Howington, great-grandson *9-Austin Howington, great-great granddaughter Myiah Stills, and his many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Tracy Jack Shepherd.
The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 11 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home, and will be officiated by Pastor Tim Arnold. The family will be accepting visitors Thursday, April 11 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Morris-Baker Funeral Home.
Burial will take place at Highland Church of Christ in Boones Creek at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 12.
