Mrs. Jackie Reece, of Johnson City, passed away, Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Reece was a native of Adkins, Virginia who had lived most of her life in Piney Flats and Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Tom David Williams and Margaret Shew Williams. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Jerry 'Bill'? Reece; one son, William Howard Reece; three sisters, JoAnn Carty, Irene Kelly and Sharon Saylor; one brother, Tommy Williams. Mrs. Reece graduated from Mary Hughes High School. She was a homemaker and a talented seamstress. Her life was dedicated to her home and her family. She will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren. Survivors include: three daughters, Jerry Mullin and her husband James of Johnson City, Teresa Montgomery and her husband Vaughn of Johnson City and Melanie Reece of Johnson City; three brothers, John Williams, Steve Williams and Roger Williams; two sisters, Betty Hyder and Mary Robinson; three grandchildren, Jacob Andrew Reece, Rachel Ann Montgomery and Sara Lynn Montgomery; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Jackie Reece will be conducted at 8 PM Thursday, October 20, 2011 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Lon Tobin will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday prior to the service. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 10 AM Friday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 9:30 AM Friday to go in procession.
