James Bradley Shepherd, 71, Johnson City, died Thursday, April 2, 2020 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
He was a native of Spokane, Washington and a son of the late Phyllis and Roscoe Shepherd Jr.
Jim was a graduate of Happy Valley High School and ETSU.
He was a U. S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from the Air National Guard after many years of service in the area of security and police.
He was a former officer of the Johnson City Police Department and member of their bomb squad. Following his retirement from the department, he worked with the Redstone Arsenal training bomb technicians.
Jim is survived by his daughter, Sheree Inge, son, James F. Shepherd, daughter, Heather Guinn, brother, Craig Allen Shepherd, sisters, Mary Patterson and Norma "Sissie" Young, grandson, Jaxson Inge, special friend, Deby Davis, and several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services for James Shepherd will be conducted at Morris-Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Steubs officiating. Following the funeral service Jim will be laid to rest in Patton-Simmons Cemetery.
