James Edward Stansberry

James Edward Stansberry, 76, 2405 Watauga Road, died Friday, January 25, 2008 at Lakebridge Healthcare. Mr. Stansberry was a native of Neva, TN and had lived in Washington County for the past several years. He was a son of the late Harrison and Jessie Stout Stansberry. Mr. Stanberry was a retired security guard. He was a US Army and US Marine veteran. Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Gouge and Lori Grindstaff both of Johnson City; one son, Randy Stansberry, Johnson City; two sisters, Fannie Dickson and Lucille Plaster both of Johnson City and three grandchildren. Graveside services for Mr. Stansberry will be held at 11 AM Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. Dan Stansberry will officiate. The Kingsport VFW will provide military honors. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
