Mr. James 'Jim'? Franklin Robinette, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Franklin Woods Hospital in Johnson City, TN after a lengthy illness. A native of St. Paul, Virginia, and a resident of Bristol, TN, he was the son of the late James Fletcher and Maggie Alice McReynolds Robinette. Jim graduated from St. Paul High School in St. Paul Virginia in 1954. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in Bainbridge, Maryland and served aboard the USS Hank in the Mediterranean. He was employed at Raytheon for 37 years, in Bristol, TN. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four sisters, Ruth Kiser, Georgia Frith, Leafy McCracken, Mildred Mitchell and two brothers, Clint and Bert Robinette. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara S. Robinette, of the home; daughter, Julie Robinette of Bristol; two sisters, Sarah Sanders of St. Louis, Missouri and Clytee Patterson of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews; and a dearly loved dog, Zora Mae. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Welmont, Graystone Healthcare and Franklin Woods Hospital for the kindness and special care they extended to Jim. Entombment was private and held at Glenwood Cemetery, Bristol, TN, with Military Honors.
