Janet Evelyn Breeden Harvey

Mrs. Janet Evelyn Breeden Harvey, 69, of Jonesborough, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at her residence. Janet was the daughter of the late Hollis S. and Lorene Berniece Butler Breeden. Janet grew up in Cosby, TN. She taught at David Crockett High School and Greeneville High School for thirty-five years and was a member of Jonesborough Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Rigby Harvey; a son, Heath Ryan Davis; granddaughter, Lydia Yunlee Davis; sister, Harriet Kaye Breeden-Keller; daughter-in-law, Dr. Lisa Shin Davis; step-son, Eric Rigby Harvey; three nephews, Justin, Steve, and Tim Keller; sister-in-law, Jo Helen Harvey-Outlaw; and special cousins, Rita Butler Layman, Roger Butler, and Shirley Breeden Wallen. A private committal service will be conducted at Mountain Home National Cemetery. A memorial service for Mrs. Janet Evelyn Breeden Harvey will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Jonesborough Presbyterian Church. Rev. Allen Huff will officiate. A reception will follow for the family at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to ALS Association, 301 Louis Street, Kingsport, TN 37660.
