Janet Katheryn Vines

Mrs. Janet Katheryn Vines, age 73, of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013, in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Vines was a native of Elizabethton. She was the daughter of the late Doyle Ezra Fields and Sina Lou Shell Brummit. In addition to her parents one son, Richard A. Smith; two granddaughters, Tamara McKinney and Carmen McKinney also preceded her in death. Mrs. Vines was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her husband of six years Edwin Vines; five children, Mitchell McKinney and his wife Cathy, Margaret 'Sissy'? Dunn and her husband Steven, Doyle Curtis McKinney and his wife Karen, Nola Smith and Jodi Fields and her husband Mike; one step-son, Rocky Vines; one brother, John Fields and his wife Debbie; twenty-seven grandchildren; forty great grandchildren. The funeral service for Mrs. Janet Katheryn Vines will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday, May 25, 2013, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Elder David Carver will officiate. The graveside committal service will follow in the Perry Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 AM Saturday prior to the service.
