Janet Whitson Miller, 62, entered the gates of her heavenly home on Tuesday April 24, 2018, after a two-year courageous battle with cancer. Born Janet Elaine Whitson on May 13, 1955, she was the daughter of Edward C. Whitson and Doris Yelton Whitson. Miller, of the home; brother, Ed Whitson; sister, Teresa King and husband Steve King; nephews and nieces, Chuck Whitson, Heather Whitson Buck and husband Trey Buck, Laurel Buck, Jonathan King and wife Sarah King, Lauren King; and several aunts and uncles. After leaving Home Federal, she began her life-long dream of remodeling, decorating and flipping homes, where she developed the attitude that you will never have to work a day in your life if you love what you are doing. Janet was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, and was also a member of the United Emmaus Community, where she served on several teams, as well as, the Kiros Prison Ministry. With her spiritual gift of mercy, she had a love and compassion for family friends and strangers alike. She had served on the Board of Girls, Inc, and had chaired 5 of the organization?s annual garden parties. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her daily Bible readings and studies and was an inspiration to all who knew her.
