Janice L. Aldridge Mitchell

Mrs. Janice L. Aldridge Mitchell, age 70, of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013, in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Mitchell was a lifelong resident of Carter County. She was the daughter of the late Robert Wayne and Helen Richards Aldridge. Mrs. Mitchell retired from the Johnson City Medical Center after forty-five years of service. She was a member of the Limestone Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her loving husband of fifty years, J.D. Mitchell; one daughter, Tammy Mitchell; one aunt, Eva Ruth Phillips. The funeral service for Mrs. Janice L. Aldridge Mitchell will be conducted at 8 PM, Saturday, November 9, 2013, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Johnny Duncan, Rev. Curtis Hurt, Rev. Tim Roach and Rev. Tim Broyles will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 3 PM Sunday in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Ministers, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 2:15 PM Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday prior to the service.
