Janice Marie Brown, age 58, died on Sunday, August 8, 2010 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born on September 7, 1951 in Bristol, Virginia to Rachel Marie Booher Robinette and the late Albert W. Robinette. She was a member of Kingdom Hall. Mrs. Brown was a caregiver for many years and served in her community. She will be missed by many. Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband of 25 years, Greg L. Brown; four children, Steven Davis of Seneca, South Carolina, Candice Porter of Sacramento, California, Bobby Porter, Jr. of Miami, Florida, and Brian Porter of Kingsport, TN; one step daughter, Nicraeshea Taylor of Johnson City, TN; her mother, Rachel Robinette of Bristol, TN; six grandchildren, Shayla Marie Porter, Celeisha Renee Porter, Bobbie Lee Porter, Darian Taylor, Caleb Risk, and Haley Bowers; four brothers, Rusty Robinette of Bristol, TN, John Robinette of Bristol, TN, Gary Robinette of Atlanta, Georgia, and Danny Robinette of Bristol, TN; one sister, Marlene Hickman of Bristol, TN; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm Thursday morning, August 12, 2010 in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Graveside services for Mrs. Brown will follow at 1 pm in the Washington County Memory Gardens with Minister Gilbert Carter officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home Thursday afternoon at 12:40pm. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Morris-Baker Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2001 Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, 423-282-1521, is in charge of arrangements.
