Jay J. Birmingham

Mr. Jay Julian Birmingham, 59, died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at his home. A native of Tulsa, OK, he was the son of the late Julian and Nannie Dee Lyon Birmingham. Jay will be remembered best for his love of history, his beautiful poetry of pen and spirit, his love and generosity towards his family, and recent desire to know the Word of God. He is survived by his two sisters, Beth Ann Yost and husband Bob of Knoxville and Lynne Fortener and husband Chris of Watauga; brother Matt Birmingham and wife Jeanie of Severn, Maryland; and nine nieces and nephews, Gabrielle, Rachel, Joshua, Laurel, Daniel, Ben, Jonathan, Jake, and Will. The family will receive friends, Monday, March 12, 2012, 11:30-12:30pm at Morris Baker Funeral Home with a graveside service following, 1:00pm, at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Matthew N. Birmingham officiating.
