Jean Marcel Grondin

Jean Grondin, 61 of Johnson City, died on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Ottawa Ontario, Canada. Son of the late Gerard Grondin and Jeannine Gauvreau.

Jean was a graduate of the University of Ottawa. He was Director of the Global Supply Chain for Eastman Chemical Corporation, of which he had been an employee for 32 years. Jean was the coordinator for the Supply Chain Golf Classic. One of his greatest skills was an awesome raconteur, he could take a sad tale and make it hilarious. To know him was to love him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Jeanne Prudhomme; two sons, Christian Grondin and Francis Grondin (Kristen Leedy); six sisters, Denise, Claire, Christine, Micheline, Helene and Joanne; several brothers-in-law; many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm in the Dogwood Chapel under the direction of Mike Richards.
