Jeanetta Allison

June 19, 1929 — February 4, 2025

Jeanetta Crum Allison, born on June 19, 1929, in Greene County, TN, the oldest of seven children, peacefully passed away on February 4, 2025, at the age of 95. She was raised on farms in Greene Co., Church Hill, and near Limestone TN. She graduated from Washington College in 1946. After working in Kingsport TN, she married George Allison of Johnson City in 1949. Through the years they moved to many places following George's career from Maryland, Bristol, Charlotte NC, Los Angles CA, Pascagoula MS, Springfield IL, St. Louis MO, Titusville FL, and retired in Johnson City TN in 1985. In all the places she lived she was active in local churches and was quick to prepare large meals for numerous gatherings. She was a member of Tacoma Church of God. She served in the local Church as a Sunday School teacher for many years, Sunday School Superintendent, Bible School Director, and on different boards and committees. She also served in different offices of the Church of God Ladies Group on the local and State levels.

Jeanetta was preceded in death by husband George Allison; parents William & Lavon Crum; daughter Myra Belle Allison Whitehead; Siblings Charles Crum, Hilda Sells, Wade Crum, Rena Faye Chandley, and Gale Crum.

Jeanetta leaves behind her son Michael and daughter-in-law Carol Allison; sister Shirley Whitburn, and sister-in-law Wilma Crum, and numerous nieces and nephews. She took immense pride in being a grandmother to her grandchildren Justin Allison, Matthew Allison, David Allison, and Laura Whitehead; and to her seven great-grandchildren Austin, Megan, Sophie, Jenna, Jacob, Charlotte Allison, and Elijah Telford.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate Jeanetta's remarkable life with visitation from 11:00 to 12:00 PM Monday February 10, 2025. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon Monday February 10, 2025. Burial to follow at 2:00 PM Monday February 10, 2025, at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Her grandson Justin Allison will officiate the services.
